Managing Your Anxiety
Anxiety is a word we are all very familiar with and one we might use to describe feeling uptight, irritable, and nervous or wound up.
When we are anxious we will probably experience some very uncomfortable physical sensations as well. These thought and feelings can become very distressing and prevent us from being the person we want to be.
If things are overwhelming it might be the right time to identify techniques to change these ways of thinking and behaving.
Stress affects people in different ways and what may be stressful for one person may not be for another.
Stress isn’t always bad though, in small doses it can help keep you on your toes and motivates you to do your best.
But if you are constantly running around on high alert, feeling frazzled and unable to cope it might be the right time to take action and protect yourself and improve how you think and feel.
Managing Your Emotions
Emotions are an expression of how we think and feel which might be because we feel Happy, Sad or Angry. When we recognise and understand our emotions we probably think of them and express them in a healthy way. However, there might be times when your emotions become overwhelming and you don’t know how to change things or you begin to express your emotions in a way that hurts people important to you or you hurt yourself, in which case it might be time to take action.
