Volunteering

Here at Mind Halton we are always looking for people who are willing to share their skills, interests and enthusiasm as volunteers.

Volunteering is a great opportunity that enables you to use your skills and abilities, unlock previously undiscovered talents, enhance your CV and build on your confidence. It also offers you the chance to meet new people, socialise and get to know your local community.

People apply to become volunteers with Mind Halton for many different reasons.  It may be to meet new people and become actively involved within their own community.  It may also be to improve confidence, gain new skills unlock previously undiscovered talents and work within a different working environment. Volunteering doesn’t have to be a major commitment.  In fact, it can be as little as a couple of hours per week.

Here at Mind Halton there is a range of volunteer vacancies and whatever you may choose, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your participation will be enriching the lives of people who have experienced, or are experiencing, mental distress.  The invaluable contribution made by our volunteers helps to play an enormous part in supporting the people of Wirral. Volunteers within this organisation are highly valued and hugely respected members of Wirral Mind’s team.  A lot of our volunteers have been with us for many years, especially in the roles of Befrienders, Counsellors, General Support, Trustee and Recreational Activities.

If you are interested in applying, want some information, or just want to chat about any of our volunteer positions, please contact us.
